The tailored heading: the cloth is gathered into three folds, pinched together at the base and held with a hook that clips into a track. The pleats sit at even intervals, so the curtain falls in deep, regular vertical folds and stacks tightly back at the ends when it is drawn open. Made up at one and a half to twice the track length, and it needs a track rather than a pole. Also sold as pinch pleat or triple pleat.
